Arrighini Vincenzo, aka Viaf, was born in Genova in 1977, city where he lives, draws and works.
When he was 9 years old, after the happening of a particular event, he started writing his first poems getting his inspiration from one of the most famous and acclaimed Italian poets: Eugenio Montale. Throughout years he met some very special people that made him change his mind about the concept of Man and Universe. Therefore, as years were passing by, in his heart a strong passion for art started growing. This made him compose his first artworks, which were a kind of union between poems, drawing and painting.
The artist’s aim is to create new myths and legends so that he can illustrate them by using various techniques and supports, such as pencils, pastels and charcoal. To what concern his artistic production, he creates digital paintings and little wooden sculptures with mouldable materials such as wax or clay.
