Roberto Mari is a photographer born in Gorizia in 1971. He lived in Monfalcone until the legal age, between sea and mountain, in contact with nature. Even as a child showed some sensitivity and artistic ability, expressed in drawing and painting. Graduated in economics in Milan, he served as a financial analyst with commitment and customer satisfaction. During college he discovered photography, a way to move beyond the expressive capabilities of the numbers. The image allows him to better respond to your romantic side. After a satisfactory career in the economic field, he devoted himself entirely to photography: early attempts to “register” the places they visit, the people who find them interesting and the most important moments of his life, but gradually begins to look differently lights and shapes. In 2008 he moved to Tuscany, where he met, at his first workshop, the maestro Franco Fontana. From that moment began a personal quest that, starting from the States of matter, find a parallel with personality traits and the human soul. Striving to go a bit beyond appearance, his images are moving away from a purely ocular vision, allowing both the interpretation that fantasy. In the 2011 and 2014 has participated in workshops held by Steve McCurry and Oliviero Toscani. He lives in the territory of the marble quarries of Massa-Carrara, from which it draws constant inspiration. His photos also want to pay tribute to those beautiful and historical places.
