<\/a><\/p>\nRegarding this, I would want to ask you how you lived this experience, you have participated in all the phases of the project, the workshop and the creative laboratory at the Hub and also as performer at the CAM. You had the opportunity to meet personalities that have for long time fought against the mafias: what have you learned from their stories and from their personal histories?<\/strong><\/p>\n I found very stimulating the strength of the words pronounced by all the people at the Hub, a contagious strength that has made me believe, despite everything, that something can really change, that there are people that are actually fighting and not only through words. I was fascinated by their personalities, personalities that transuded energy and I hope\/believe that this energy turned into art, both in my works and in those of my colleagues.<\/p>\n The creative laboratory with the artists was a great moment of confrontation, how did you manage to unite so many heads and so different styles? What did come out of it?<\/strong><\/p>\n At the beginning the meeting with the other artists and the idea to collaborate scared me a bit, then it took just 5 minutes for everything to work with absolute naturalness. So many different souls can have difficulties to collaborate but I believe that the project of MostraMi was greater than every individuality and that, therefore, each one of us was able to put his own self at the service of the group, I believe that this is the meaning of ‘art.’ In the days of the show did you exhibit or did you keep on working together with creating works that rotate around the theme of the mafia and the legality? On which of the two aspects did you focus?<\/strong><\/p>\n During the workshop one of the concepts that strucked me the most was that of the legality and of the grey zone, because after all, we know a lot about the mafia,its power, while illegality gets confused among us, among who cuts the line, who pays bribes. The relationship with the visitors was electrifying, it was amusing to see that the public was curious and had a good time to see us paint, there was who stopped and asked the reason why we made certain movements or they asked explanations on the meaning of the works. I think it was useful, in both parts, to be able to interact during the execution of the works since conceptual art should let the visitor reflect. To be able to hear more the opinion of several people during the execution, brought me (and so the other artists, I believe) to find new cues and new energy. Half way through the 90s I came close to the world of graffiti, to the form of the letters, to the coloration so that the whole writing could be as fluid as possible. Unfortunately I am not very satisfied, I believe that we are in a very difficult historical moment in all fields, and art cannot be spared obviously. This way I find myself too often to face people that try to exploit this situation proposing vain projects with exorbitant costs with the result, in my personal thought, to hurt both the art and the artists. E cosa ne \u00e8 venuto fuori?<\/strong> Nei giorni della mostra non esponevi ma continuavi a lavorare insieme agli altri creando opere che ruotano intorno al tema della mafia e della legalit\u00e0? Tu su quale dei due aspetti ti sei concentrato?<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n
\nI find that the works we realized went above every expectation, the stylistic contamination has brought together the best of each of us.
\nPersonally I was fascinated by this experience and happy to have known and have collaborated with so many artists, great artists and great people.
\nBeing a self-taught painter, for me it has been an occasion to learn something more, both on a technical level and organizational in the realization of a work of art.<\/p>\n
\nIt was interesting to be able to work on this concept and therefore on the grey and everything that revolves around it because eliminating this zone would mark a big goal in the game against illegality.
\n
\nA last question on this experience: how was the relationship with the visitors?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n

\nWe now speak of your personal history: you are a self-taught artist, how did you come close to the painting and the poetic of astractism?<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nGrowing up, however, I felt that I wanted more besides the letters, I wanted something else besides the walls, I wanted to evolve my job on other surfaces and I wanted to clean the style.
\nSo I began to work on canvas (the passage was traumatic enough) but to find my path I had to know the past. I began to study various artistic currents, being very fascinated by the informal art and by people as Mathieu, to quote a name of the past, and from Lino Porrari, to get to our days. I tried to mix the stylistic knowledge matured up to that moment with the need to clean my style, to find the correct movement, mixing the gestural and conceptual strength that differentiate me with a rational control of the media (and my work on this is continuous).

\nWhich are your experiences in this field? How do you move to promote yourself?<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nIn this sense I believe that MostraMi me a lighthouse toward a best world, the projects of MostraMi always have a great purpose\/ideal, they give light to young artists and above all for the participating artists it\u2019s for free!!
\nI\u2019m truly happy to have met the whole staff of MostraMi, to have had the opportunity to work with them, to have known a lot of people, that, like me, feel the need to express themselves through colors. I\u2019m happy to feel like I\u2019m an active part of an artistic community in constant evolution.
\nThis is MostraMi, to me, this and so much more..

\nDavide ha ricevuto il premio della commissione tecnica in occasione della mostra-evento di novembre dedicata alla lotta alla mafia e al valore della legalit\u00e0. Diversamente dalle altre edizioni precedenti la commissione ha premiato uno solo degli artisti partecipanti, riconoscendogli un premio per il suo impegno speso in questo progetto e nella realizzazione delle sue opere. L\u2019obbiettivo di Mostrami 5 era appunto coinvolgere e far riflettere soprattutto le giovani generazioni su un tema cos\u00ec importante.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
\nHo trovato molto stimolante la forza delle parole pronunciate da tutte le persone presenti all’ Hub, una forza contagiosa che mi ha fatto credere, nonostante tutto quello che si sente, che qualcosa pu\u00f2 veramente cambiare, che ci sono persone che lottano veramente e non solo a parole. Sono rimasto molto affascinato dalle loro personalit\u00e0, personalit\u00e0 che trasudavano energia e spero\/credo che questa energia si sia trasformata in arte, sia nelle mie opere che in quelle dei colleghi.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
\nAll’inizio l’incontro con glia altri artisti e l’idea di collaborare mi spaventava un po’, poi sono bastati 5 minuti perch\u00e9 tutto funzionasse con assoluta naturalezza. Tante anime differenti possono avere difficolt\u00e0 a collaborare ma credo che il progetto di MostraMi fosse pi\u00f9 grande di ogni individualit\u00e0 e che pertanto ognuno di noi sia stato in grado di mettere da parte il proprio io al servizio del gruppo, credo che questo sia il significato di ‘arte’.
\nTrovo che sono state realizzate opere al di sopra di ogni aspettativa, la contaminazione stilistica ha portato ad unire il meglio di ognuno di noi.
\nPersonalmente sono rimasto affascinato da questa esperienza e felicissimo di aver conosciuto e collaborato con cosi tanti artisti, grandi artisti e grandi persone.
\nEssendo un pittore auto-didatta per me \u00e8 stata un’occasione per imparare qualcosa in pi\u00f9, sia a livello tecnico che organizzativo nella realizzazione di un’opera d’arte.<\/p>\n
\nDurante il work shop uno dei concetti che pi\u00f9 mi ha colpito \u00e8 stato quello della legalit\u00e0 e della zona grigia, perch\u00e9 in fondo della mafia si sa molto, si sa che \u00e8 potente mentre l’illegalit\u00e0 \u00e8 quella che si confonde tra di noi, tra chi salta la fila, chi paga le tangenti etc. Ho trovato interessante poter lavorare su questo concetto e quindi sul grigio e tutto quello che ci gira attorno perch\u00e9 eliminando questa zona segnerebbe un gran goal nella partita contro l’illegalit\u00e0.<\/p>\n
