“Biocities and Vibrations”

of Carlo D’Orta

June 26 - July 20

Branch CheBanca! of
Piazzale Belle Arti, 8 – Rome

On June 26, the personal exhibition of Carlo D'Orta, created by Mostrami for Chebanca! in Rome and entitled "Biocities and Vibrations" was inaugurated. The exhibition is part of the "Eventi a regola d'arte" promoted by CheBanca!.

Carlo D'Orta, a traveller and photographer for over 40 years, has totally changed his approach to photography after attending courses in leftover painting and obtained a master in photography, abandoning the documentary approach in favour of a tendency towards the search for abstraction or towards a metaphysical/surrealist vision.

The chromatic sensitivity is an important aspect of his photographs, which gives them a strong pictorial characterization, sometimes also the result of limited post-production interventions on lights and colors.

With his shots he investigates the architectural forms in different cities, which is the main theme of his photographic research.

In the exhibition are exposed the two projects "Biocities" and "Vibrations". His works are never only landscapes, but true visions and recompositions. The heart of the research are essential shapes, geometric figures, pure synthesis always in search of original perspectives and unusual points of view.

In the project "Biocities" the camera lens focuses on architectural details, points of view and perspectives in which different architectures overlap and merge, thus creating paintings of abstract geometry.

In the series "Vibrations" the eye falls instead on the reflections in the windows of the skyscrapers, which give us images between abstraction, futurism and surrealism.

The photographic exhibition "Biocities and Vibrations" will be open until July 20 at the Branch of Piazzale Belle Arti, 8 in Rome.
