Veronica Ribbeni is an emerging artist who has approached painting thanks to Nanni and then thanks to a dear friend. Nanni, who first painted brushes and colours for his grandson, is always present in Veronica’s childhood memories, when she would like the floating of leaves and watercolors. On the occasion of her 32nd birthday, Marika gave Veronica a trip to the painting world. After years of improvisation that awkwardly exaggerated her feelings and emotions as adolescent, Veronica started attending lessons at Mialò Art, an artistic association operating in Palermo where Sonny Insinna and Carmela Gulino would teach, share and accompany the young painter in her creative journey. A journey made through the use of oils, acrylics and volcanic sands, traversed and lived by splitting, dripping and sometimes splashing colours, giving the observer a reality filled with surrealism and emanating energy and life.
